Public launch area on south side of river near IL-351 and IL-6. Good put-in for a fairly lengthy trip upstream to Starved Rock and back (upstream and back downstream is about 15 miles). |

A trip starting here will take you through an industrial section of the River where you can see barges tied up on the banks. You can also see a section of the Hennepin canal and its locks that have been under water for 50 years only now accessible due to a new earthen dam.
